This modern version of the “Pedersen Pilgrimage” was the idea of Ben Amor and his father Chris and was first organised by him for a few of his friends in June 2019.  Following this gathering of 10 Pedersens there was much interest from other V-CC members from across the country so another was planned for the following year, however, Covid intervened with an enforced two year break.   In 2022 Ben organised a well-attended gathering of over 40 Pedersens and supporting riders.

The Veteran-Cycle Club committee felt that this was such a well-supported event with much public interest, especially in the town of Dursley, that it would be a good idea to make the gathering a regular event.  Sadly in 2023 it was a shadow of the previous year, however, in 2024, over 30 entrants, plus supporters and friends, enjoyed a wonderful weekend in and around Dursley, meeting fellow Pedersen enthusiasts, enjoying the hospitality of this vibrant community and showing everyone the great machines that were made in the town at the turn of the 20th century.

Matt Bigwood, from the Stroud Times, was in attendance on the Saturday get-together in the town centre.  He has put together a report, including a short video and many photographs which we include here:
